DPW KICKS-OFF PROGRAM TO FILL CITY POTHOLES
(3/10/2010) NEW HAVEN- As Spring approaches and temperatures rise, potholes appear on New Haven roads with greater frequency. The Department of Public Works (DPW) places a high priority on making sure City roadways are as safe and well maintained as possible. Throughout the months of March and April crews will be out continuously focusing on pothole repairs. DPW aims to repair potholes within two business days, and has personnel available on weekends to handle emergency situations. We encourage residents to help identify pothole locations so that they can be repaired in a timely manner.
Potholes can be reported to the City in two ways:
- Contact DPW at 203-946-7700. Residents may leave their request on the DPW voicemail as calls are retrieved throughout the day.
- Residents are encouraged to use SeeClickFix.com to report the issue. Users can also access this website via a built-in link on the City's website at www.cityofnewhaven.com
Residents should provide detailed information, such as exact location, size, shape and whether the hole is in a traffic lane, bike lane or parking lane.
